I have also just been pointed to the LLB Guide 2012 compiled by the UQLS, which contains the distribution of grades in law at UQ. The distributions set out in that guide confirms my experience that undergraduate law marks at UQ are inflated compared to QUT, and not the other way around.

I don't think the exams being open or closed book have anything to do with it. Any decent professor or lecturer will set an exam at an appropriate level depending upon whether it is a closed or open book exam. Also, I don't agree with you when you say that students at UQ are necessarily smarter; I don't think that a person's OP score is the best indicator of a person's "smartness" (whatever that means). I also think that the quality of teaching and learning in law at QUT is much higher than UQ, which doesn't fit with your assertion either.

I agree medication has to be part of the response to depression but I also believe you need to do more than just take the medication - counseling, meditation, exercise, and whatever else works for you.

But you could still be abstinent and have a boyfriend or girlfriend. Which would it be by the way, a boyfriend or girlfriend?
