Lie: If we don't intervene around the world, we are responsible for innocent lives lost.

Fact: Murderous, power hungry killers and gangs are responsible for innocent deaths.

No matter what we do, the weak are preyed upon by the strong. We retain guilt about the Holocaust during WWII, but we seem to have selective guilt. Think Cambodia. That massive killing field was eventually stopped by the Vietnamese.

For all the Americans who want to intervene militarily in Iran, oust dictators in Africa, and involve ourselves in a civil war in Syria, who gives you the authority to send other Americans children to be killed in a foreign land who poses no threat to us.

I am testing different hosts when I create new domains. iPage does not use cpanel, so I had to use one of their .htaccess editor tools to generate a new page which I then edited by adding the WP code in filemanager. All seems okay now.

I also host with Hostgator, Hostmonster, and Justhost. I once looked at another one that seemed promising but can't remember the name. Anyone want to share good and bad webhosts, please enlighten me.

I saw the permalink/htaccess info after I posted. Now I have to find it on this new host that has a funky editor.

I created a new domain at iPage and installed 3.0.2.

After changing the settings and creating a few pages and posts, things get strange.

If I create a static home page, I may get it on the TLD, but links from the sidebar receive "page not found" messages. If I load posts, they show up on the home page, but you cannot access individual posts from the link on the first page or from a sidebar widget.

A lot of work that goes bad and I don't know what the trigger is.

I saw Alan on Saturday before he went over to the library. We shared some office space many years ago, and I hope he is elected. I'm surprised how uncivil our elections have become.
