For the move to Tumblr, I just exported my WordPress posts as XML and wrote a small script to insert them on Tumblr using their API: http://www.tumblr.com/docs/api.

Very cool! Looks like they just added that functionality in the last release (http://www.panic.com/transmit/). The latest version of s3cmd also has good ACL controls (http://s3tools.org/s3cmd).

I was just thinking about that... how it was the same with HipCal. I'm a little scared that I may have ended up waiting too long, but the other sites definitely feel way too "corporate" so I'm hoping that there is plenty of room to find a niche.

Funny how groups of similar services tend to launch at the same time. It was crazy how many calendars launched within 3 months of the HipCal launch! Glad we were one of the first, though. :) Good luck with your last 10%!

Attacking things in the morning is always a good tactic. But if all it takes for me to complete a task, that I've been putting off consistently, is a good night's sleep, then it doesn't exactly fall into my "difficult tasks" category ;)
