This is a major challenge for any org working with a combination of volunteers and paid staff. We're using Wrike https://www.wrike.com/ and it's hard work to keep everyone 'in'. It has a huge benefit where we can share a link to (for example) a GANTT chart that can be accessed without requiring login. Makes it easier to engage with volunteers (just sending such a link on a regular basis keeps them in the loop).

For meetings Join.me has proven to be dead simple to use, with many international dial in options and includes screen sharing, video and annotations.

Despite all the nice tools and platforms conversations take place on Whatsapp, Facetime, Skype and others ....

Great list and this goes on the to-read list. I've tried a lot of similar apps ever since Tungle disappeared into Blackberry. Challenges with timezones, different calendar types and managing the requests led me to Meekan http://meekan.com/ and I'd have to say this app has made my life so much easier. It takes you through a logical process and I've been able to schedule meetings with difficult groups with no trouble.
Should definitely be on this list!

The Tell Your Story toolkit hard copy also includes all the files for the 100+ assets in native format. This allows them to customise the content to their brand and needs. The assets include (among others) documents, reports, email templates, case studies, video's and presentation files.

That's also a good option. I like the option of adding software licenses and things like passport numbers etc. in 1Password. Makes a clean install a reality when necessary.

Excellent write-up. If you add @ifttt to the mix it gets more interesting. Here is a recipe that makes sharing from Google Reader to @bufferap even easier. Just star an item and it shows up in your Buffer ... For instance here is a public notebook with all tweets that have #workbetter in them. It's a series of tweets initiated by @harvest for sharing tips on working better. @ifttt monitors the hashtag and creates a note for each tweet. The note contains tags, the original tweet and also a link to the tweet.

Combined with the excellent web service @ifttt you can have any tweets (like your favorites, mentions, specific hashtags) sent to Evernote.

Voor mij is Dropbox sneller en completer dan MobileMe. Meer sociaal, makkelijker delen e.d. MobileMe is de laatste tijd al wel beter geworden (op gebied van filesharing) maar kan nog niet tippen aan het gemak van Dropbox. Ook handig van Dropbox: vrienden uitnodigen is meer ruimte voor opslag!
