When you misuse the 'data' the way you've been doing, it's an inductive generalization. This data can be rearranged to note that the police blotter is filled with all MALES or all YOUNG people or ROMAN CATHOLICS (if we estimate 80-90% of Mexicans being Roman Catholic).

That, and perhaps the *way* you are doing it. on. every. post. What exactly are you trying to gain? A ballot measure to just start rounding up all brown-looking people JUST IN CASE? Awesome sci-fi movie material.

But heck, you called me a -douche-, so I expect any type of reasonable discourse is out of the question. It operates on the principle that much internet discussion is based upon: anonymous vitriol. No need to worry about having accountability for words.

That's why you're in the wilderness.

Re: Attending BlogWorldExpo and Speaking at the 140Conf

Yes Dan, I will occasionally enjoy myself a stogie. It drives me up the wall seeing the snark in the comments that devolve the whole gang situation as "buncha punks we gotta git 'em deport 'em shoot 'em", without any regard to the massive, MASSIVE infrastructure and organization that is North American gangs. It loops from the streets to prisons to the respective home countries and back. But hey, we live in the Twitter world now. It's soundbites or nothin'.

Re: Understanding the Value of Lifestreaming

I have to disagree. I totally agree that the self-discipline required to capture the data needs to be as simple as possible. Stopping myself from gorging food into my mouth is one thing, but having to meticulously count calories and type them into a device can be even more painstaking. Hopefully these methods to capture data will improve and I also think that this aspect of Lifestreaming will probably end up being the most beneficial for people.

Re: Lifestream Wordpress Theme Released by Press 75

Mahendra, I really like Storytlr but don't think it's a fair comparison to a self-hosted Wordpress blog. They each have their own set of pros and cons. With Wordpress you have quite a bit more control and flexibility than using a hosted service.

Re: My Thoughts on Posterous as a Lifestreaming Platform

You're welcome, but I'm sure some will still have questions as it can still be a little difficult to grasp.

Re: My Thoughts on Posterous as a Lifestreaming Platform

I'm not sure what you mean by end result but the first method allows importing from a limitless number of 3rd party services that offer an RSS feed while the second requires you to post everything yourself using 3 defined methods.
