Put the people who you don't want to see your friend list in a specific group then deny them access to view your friends list under Settings --> Privacy --> Profile (4th option from the bottom).

Actually, you'll be reformatting during the install process. I didn't go into the details of using the Windows 7 installation wizard as this was more of an overview than a step-by-step guide, but it's essentially the same process as you remember from before, it's just that the screen is a lot prettier now. :)

When you install the OS, you're asked if you want to do an upgrade or a clean (custom) install. You'll want to do the custom install. On the next screen, you'll be able to pick which partition you want to use. You'll see options to delete and reformat partitions there, too. This is where you'll be able to reformat your drive.

Yes, you should always deauthorize before removing iTunes (which is
essentially what you're doing with a clean install). However, Apple
gives you 5 authorizations under your account, so it's not a big deal
if you forget. I'm not familiar with deauthorizing Adobe products.

I am SO jealous! Outside of the hardware, the Pre is a pretty amazing device thanks to WebOS. They just need some more apps now. (Yay for homebrew!)

Oooh! I'll play! WinterBoard is my favorite customization app - it lets me change everything from the Springboard background to the sliders to the battery icon itself (mine's pink & green - so cute!). I love changing the wallpaper on my phone a lot (& my PC, too - love those Win7 themes!) so this app looks great. Even if I don't win a code, I'm def going to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!

That actually does make me feel better. I was thinking how sad would it have been if I could have been late after all.

If you mean this one (http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id...), the most popular of the Twitter apps, it will.

However, it will update your personal profile with your tweets as well!

That's the problem with these "public profiles" - no separation between the public fan page and the personal profile.

Only 2 workarounds: 1) Create a separate acct for managing your public profile (fan page). Note: violates TOS, as I understand it.

or

2) Create a business account.
