No Multi-Touch user interface
Games are expensive
No App Store
No iPod

But they do have buttons. Cartridges/discs you can sell if you don't want the game anymore. Batteries that don't suck (as much). And the ESRB reviews content for those systems - with ratings, not rejections.

I never noticed this and I'm really not sure how I feel about it. On one hand, it was at least helpful to know you were sending a friend request to the right person (profile pics don't do it, sometimes). On the other hand, if they're trying to become more Twitter-like, I guess it makes sense.

If my hosting company suddenly folds, I could just go to a new one, restore my WP database and only lose a day or so. I'd still have the same content and would still be at the same URL. In that scenario, at least I wouldn't have to start from scratch.

I'm seeing that same trend, Patrick. In my opinion, the landline is slowly but surely becoming obsolete. The only real necessary use I can see for it is in a business environment. Cell phones can provide emergency personnel with something that landlines can't - your location.

Cell phones can also make emergency calls (to 911) even if you don't have a service contract with a provider. So they're good things to keep around anyway, even if you have a landline. Just in case.

I was talking through my own personal experience, Marcus. I never owned a G1 or a Storm - I've owned an E815 and a Pearl. In the end, the iPhone won out not because it has the better calling network (I give that to Verizon, hands down) but because it has a more dedicated community of developers.

As far as calendars go, it's nice to have many different calendars so that you can turn the layers on and off when you need to focus on certain items.

From what I understand, there was a map similar to this back in the day and this is actually new. I could be wrong, though. I don't play Halo on the PC.

I'm finding that, while WiFi is becoming more common, it's a chore to find a free spot. There's always the possibility of hopping onto someone's personal network but people are getting smarter and locking down the signal.

I just use 3G and don't even bother looking for WiFi anymore.
