I work in team which has next to 100% kernel engineers/hackers and all of them do that on *razor blade thin* hardware, i.e. product should be desktop but fit in pocket, and yes, their kernel should work for that little piece... I must say that we have that kind of atmosphere "wanna run with big dogz? learn to pee on big trees" and many boys had left team... girls never applied for job - I asked line manager, he said NONE ever. Not everything that occurs has some deep underlying meaning behind it.

I don't see how this makes me a "tired mother." If you noticed, other people, who aren't women or mothers, also responded to this hoax.

It seems like you are someone who is a little bitter about life. It came to my mind during reading last few paragraphs. What if it somehow mapped/correlated with SL hardware requirements for 3D video card? ;) I remember when I had been going in-world, I couldn't meet certain friends because one of them had PC broken, and buying another one with _particular_ video card (minimal, after later check). Once they bought it, it looked odd for them to buy anything since "a lot of money had been spent already on SL"...

Re: The Scandinaivian Startup Scene

Oh sorry i wasn't considering the drunk Finns as tourists - i see them more as part of the culture. :)

Re: The Scandinaivian Startup Scene

"It's still not overrun with tourists" - I don't insist but it might be interesting fact that everyday vodka-tourists loaded on ferries in Helsinki (and not only Helsinki when it comes to that) cross 80+ km gulf just for sake of ... ahem, tourism... may be your half-of-family left Tallinn way time ago ;)

Re: Nokia Wants to Free Symbian

lol :) Right you are though - time will most certainly tell!

Re: Nokia Wants to Free Symbian

well, I do not exclude that it is my wishful thinking :) let's see - time will show it in all vulgar details :)

Re: Nokia Wants to Free Symbian

I agree.

If Nokia moves away from Symbian it would really surprise me though. It
would be a complete reversal from the current perspective from what I know.
Last September I was speaking to "someone" deeply involved with S60 Touch
and I inquired as to why they weren't moving forward more with the OS in
terms of changes / innovation / etc. The response I got was basically that
they don't want to change.
