I have a javascript on each blogpost that allows people to find the correlating friendfeed post for each blog post... even if I don't have the ff embed.

obviously I am using disqus and intensedebate still... I am using it now on your blog... but on my own system I would prefer people to really use friendfeed

also note the typekey aka typepad has really improved. they are now a competing commenting system

Re: Disqus vs. IntenseDebate

you need four followers (I believe, but things change).

the best part of NB is that it protects from trolls because you can only follow so many blogs and therefor if there is a blog that you find irksome you will not follow it. this means the only comments you get are from either facebook fanpage fans or friends or viral spins from there. you can broadcast it on twitter also, but the exclusive NB feed is only seen by people who really "like"
your blog and follow you regularly.
you can also import digg and delicious into netblogs with feedburner for your rss. this usefull option allows me to have networkedblog comments on friendfeed posts because I bookmark stuff in ff with delicious or diigo.

Re: Disqus vs. IntenseDebate

I have chosen to reject them both.

when I want your opinion I will let you know with a friendfeed embed

also networked blogs comments I like because then I can see the comments on facebook. perhaps if companies explored this type of option I might be a return customer. I find it a better system to have networkedblogs manage comments so that I can control who is commenting. troll control is a key issue.

we are entering into many new options for comments. (another interesting option that is developing as of late is typepad which seems to interact with facebook nicely... better then the two mentioned in your post)

in the end what is keeping me from using intensedebate and disqus on my blogs is their poor support. at first it was good, but it became obvious as of late that they did not want to work with users who were not within Robert Scoble's community values. this became especially apparent while dealing with Disqus a few months ago when the settings changed with facebook connect and they didn't take the time to fix it with me. they complained about my blog, but my blog had been working with disqus and intensedebate successfully for two years. Equality and equivalence are very different things for me. not all bloggers support gay marriage and think a free society includes tolerance to religions that believe in murder of other faiths. I am very sad to say that if you do not kiss Robert Scoble's ass, then you will not be eligible to comment using the systems mentioned in your post. Just because some one says they are a moderate pederasts, doesn't mean they don't touch little boyz pee pee... in the same respect just because Disqus says they help who they disagree with, it doesn't mean they actually go the extra yard to work with the people who put together blogs.

Re: WOW: Facebook Launches a Twitter App

I don't get it Mike. I'd also like to see some kind of echo filter with twitter to friendfeed to facebook posts. whole thing needs to be elegant. it will help all the networks. nobody benefits by being the bottom feeder.

Re: The French Know How to Take Revenge

François Truffaut autobiographical movies:
"Stolen Kisses," "Bed and Board," and "Love on the Run"; "The Wild Child"; and "Jules and Jim."

Re: FrontPage Magazine - Islam’s Animal Gulag

no woof woof?

Re: US: Yale Press Bans Images of Muhammad in New Book

check and see Yale's money. how much do you want to bet that there is a lot of Muslim money at stake here. trust me... for the right price they will print anything you want

Re: LIFE in Israel in 1948 – Part 1

photos kind of knock any points of Jews not being in Jerusalem. people are so uninformed with bias

Re: LIFE in Israel in 1948 – Part 2

amazing!

Re: Taking a Stand on Twitter’s Auto-DM Policy #endautodm

I do not expect to ever get my way when it comes to twitter. still waiting for the profile @NoahDavidSimon

Re: It's The CAUSE, Stupid!

not an opinion Mr Sass. Zazzle did some bad things and they are attempting to cover it up. it is formulaic. as a person involved in marketing you know it is way too transparent and obvious that they are attempting to do a bait and switch on morality. they would be better off to clear their positions on why they won't allow a stamp of an Israeli hostage to be made. this is a diversion from their position where the company put themselves in contention of what is just.

no one is fooled. it isn't the first time I've seen this kind of thing go on with twitter. I know it becomes hard to tell the difference between terrorist sympathizers and the government these days (especially Since 1993, Palestinians have received more than $2.2 billion in U.S. economic assistance via USAID projects - more than from any other donor country and now we are giving directly through Hamas), but Sass why not promote causes where you don't have to be involved with such hypocrisy.

I'm not shocked...
