It's just that the "readers" are not using that data for article presentation. Sure just using the category element isn't going to have a great signal to noise ratio but if you've followed the "it’s all about the data not the algorithm" meme alot of the data is already there. I found it to be a much better way to consume RSS then the standard per feed way. With the resent uncertainty of the google products and how much development reader may or may not get, I think i'm going to just go with plan b. In plan b I'll just setup a second wordpress blog or use tumblr and use the xmlrpc interface to create a share feed.

Re: louisgray.com: RSS Overload: Don't Complain, Do Something About It

Here's how I did something about my RSS overload, http://tubejumper.com. That way you can create a folder that has all the items about one topic no matter what feed it's from. I've been dinking around with this for a few years and it works out great for me.

Re: Twitter in Gmail will further distract me from using it for email

Does the id and password pass through twittergadgets servers or is it direct to twitter.com?

Re: Google’s campus as seen from the Google satellite

I can't tell if this is someone on a bike or someone laying down in the parking lot.
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&...

Re: rizzn's personal blog: Finished With My RSS Reorg

I'm still figuring out if I even want to turn it into a product, probably pieces of it will be part of other things I try. If apache starts up after a system reboot then it's running as a service. So then you can start and stop any service with "net start [service]" or "net stop [service]". You can also set up a service to restart upon a failure or run a command line program on the first failure and restart if a second failure happens. I don't know if you've seen this blog(s), http://port25.technet.com/, it's a site for the open source community at microsoft.

Re: rizzn's personal blog: Finished With My RSS Reorg

Mark, I'd be interested in hearing what you have to say about a small project i've been working on for myself. Then every 2 years along with local elections and props, put in a Confidence vote. If the Confidence in the president isn't greater then X percent then in two years it can be put to popular a vote but the sitting president can't run again. Weird stuff really. Personally my two big pet peeves about the system is that I really only have two choices in a president and that my third choice is either to effectivly or actually not vote. The next is that we find out about the cabinet selections only after the election, i'd really like to see these selections between the primaries and the election. Knowing who the president will be consulting with is pretty important.

Re: Should a computer science degree require learning C ?

You have to have some practical experience to apply abstraction to. Most science classes have a lab as well as lecture. I see your point about fighting mechanics, maybe Logo would be a better start. C has become the default because it's familiar to the teachers which makes grading easier when you have a standard. I never got a chance to go to college, but the community college near me has a C and Java track for the Computer Science degree.

Re: Near Field Communications is Amazing! - RussellBeattie.com

I've been waiting for NFC for the last couple years.
