Good to hear the Facebook are at least taking some action. I appreciate the problem will never go away altogether but steps must be taken to make it as difficult as possible for these spammers.

I have lost a 1/2 dozen followers recently. Makes sense that they could be spammers who have had there accounts deleted. I note that quite a few "businesses" have twitter accounts and I have a few following me. I expect some of these "businesses" are in the business of spamming, therefore I hope Twitter is deleting them.

Agree that Plurk has a terrible name and gets very cluttered. Also don't see the sames apps being built around it as we have seen with Twitter. I give Plurk 6 months.

FriendFeed comments need improving. Disqus is most definitely the way to go. Fingers crossed that this does happen. FriendFeed would reach a whole new level with the Disqus commenting system.

I have been using Google Reader for sometime. In my opinion it is hands down the best RSS reader out there.

Good article. I still see benefits in Twitter and believe you can have both Twitter and FriendFeed. Interesting the 80% of Twitter posts is through it's API. Personally I use Twhirl

Glad I was able to find something of interest. It certainly shows a lot of promise and really changes commenting for the better in my opinion.
