One "metric" or measurement I'm planning to look at is the level of impact I was able to have on the company's early success. Keep in mind, I'm investing super early -- typically the very first round and sometimes the first check.

If a company goes on to gain traction and I was able to bring them the right hire, the right partner or assist them in developing the right product that significantly helped them to raise their next round, bring on a large customer or raise consumer awareness I'd consider that an early sign of success on my part. I'm much more interested in understanding if I'm choosing and being chosen by the right companies where I can provide value to them early on.

Re: Welcome to FullStart

Hurray! We just took a bunch of our startups down to DC to meet Pelosi, Polis and a number of other people in congress and the senate and one thing I learned -- Leverage your congressmen or congresswomen after you've filed sometime to force through a response. They can't lobby on your behalf but they can step in *after* you start the process.

Re: The Joy Of Being Detained By U.S. Customs and Border Protection

Also, do you have the Global Entry Program already?
