One thing that Pandora really needs to offer is the ability to purchase PandoraOne (or premium services) as a gift. I know of a few people that would love to buy this FOR their friends for birthdays, etc but there's no option.

Rumors are fine if they are portrayed as rumors. I.e. I've heard down the grapevine that Apple may have some issues with their CEO. This "article" that was posted and then re-posted all over the internet could have been a deliberate attempt at dropping the stock price or it could have been some concerned citizen trying to figure out the truth.

The truth of the matter is, if it was an attempt at figure out what was going on, it was poorly written. Most read this article as fact, not curiosity.

I love the startup, Passpack but they are not in the SF area. Might be worth reaching out to them at this time anyway as they are an easy sell to the non-techie crowd.

Disqus is missing a few majorly awesome points and then they'll be there. Namely owning of comments (being able to import, export and freely manage ones own blog or site comments). Once they've done this and added Viddler video commenting support, I'll be happy. :)

Facebook's chat is probably one of the greatest chat applications to hit the world wide web. It allows people who never would have chatted before to get involved in a conversation without fear. In addition, people get a chance to connect with people who they haven't talked to in a long time. The fact that Adium and others are adding this chat to their client is a big step in the right direction.

I'm a huge fan of keeping your readers and friends involved on your blog and this is a great way of doing it. Making sure that people know who's discussing what and what is hot is always a great thing.

This is true. But can anything en masse ever be defined? In web 2.0 everyone leans towards building out for that small 2 % of geeks. I like to architect things for the rest. That's not to say that the other 98% is one in the same, but I like to attack larger chunks rather than smaller. Look at Flickr. Not a headache yet geeks LOVE it.

This is a scary time for the Twitterverse... It's a way that the timeline could start to become flooded with ads and advertisers and scary people who just want to make a quick buck... Not that this is what Scoble is doing but you know what I mean.

While decentralization could be good, I fear that if it's goen about the wrong way, the easy, helpful information that I gain on Twitter today could be lost in a cloud of dust from a million blogs with their "twitterish streams".
