I think it would just make it easier. I'd be like the embedded "digg" icon
on most sites...one quick click and you don't even leave the page.

I also think he's trying to get more digg traffic. I personally hate how I always have to click to digg from an rss link - THEN go to the original story. Rather it was one click. I like the subverting of the digg visit, but yeah, being able to register a digg click from FF might be cool.

thats a crazy site!! I feel all crack donkey'd out now cause I've been signing up, adding my different things, looking through other peoples links for like an hour now...there's so many other sites I didn't know about too like that last.fm thing. I see how this could become addicting. Its so streamlined and beautiful at this FriendFeed place...Im making all my friends sign up right away...everyone's everything, all on one page....Rad!
Oh and yeah now it does make more sense...thanx :)

Google Reader is just one of the two RSS feed readers that Google offers, along with their iGoogle homepage. I follow a ton of sites, and I've found Google Reader to be my current fave. One of the things it does is show you your statistics of how many sites you follow, which ones you like best etc. So a couple weeks ago when I really got into FriendFeed, you can see my daily Reader use completely drop off. The reason is that I'm getting a lot of my daily links now from the ones that bubble up in FF (that are chosen by actual people) as opposed to combing 70 plus sites a day using Reader.
