That was my idea.

Hard to say, my eyes are only 54 years old, but they're not in great shape
and I had no trouble reading the screen.

The only way to tell is to try it out, I guess.

I actually wrote this post over a year ago (5-17-08 to be precise) so the site has undergone many changes since then. Onle of the last changes I made was to go with a very light theme with no CSS so that people could choose their own font via their browser preference.

However, that doesn't mean I'm not using *any* plugins now.. In fact, I currently have 33 active plugins, including: Add to Any, Akismet, All In One SEO, Disqus and more.

Hm, I could probably stand to get rid of some of the older ones, though.

Actually I'm really beginning to like the keyboard. I really like the way it
suggests words, much much much better than the iPhone.

It needs to be available for everyone if we're to build on it.

So I don't want to sound unreasonable, but until everyone uses Firefox, no
-- that's not good enough.

We need some more now, and it appears Twitter is focusing elsewhere...

I've been looking for that for other purposes.

Also how do I get it to stop chiming at me when an email comes in -- I get a lot of email! :-)

Patrick -- it's really interesting to hear how people define their lists, esp people who take it seriously. We're just getting started with this, it seems to me. It's something I've wanted to work on for a long time. :-)

We could have a long discussion about that, and I would say that
"pioneering" is not changing the world.

All this stuff was inevitable, otherwise it wouldn't have worked. The cost
of publishing is inexorably going down, that's really all that's going on
with blogging, podcasting and RSS. It's more like letting the world change
me than me changing the world.

Actually it's not true -- the SUL people I unfollowed are usually not
retweeted.

In fact some of them, who used to be interesting before they got SULed, have
been trying to do something with the tens of thousands of new followers,
trying to figure out what they're interested in, and in doing so, are
changing what they tweet. One has even hired someone to tweet for him. In
the process someone who was borderline interesting has become like a
mini-CNN but without the research. Nothing interesting there.
