The only thing I don’t like about Vivaldi is it’s based on Chrome. The primary reasons I started using it were the extreme customizability I used to have in Firefox, and it isn’t Chrome.

Re: Ford has electric pickup range-extender design that drops into bed, could be option for F150

I want to see extra battery capacity as a drop in option, not a generator. When hauling/towing it will provide extra range. In the winter it will provide extra weight, and how many of us throw a couple sandbags in the back already for the winter months?
When we aren't worried about range and/or wanting extra weight, we could then take it out for added efficiency.

Re: Facebook Walls Are Not An Open Invitation For You to Attack

I definitely agree about being respectful of others when posting on 'their' wall. They have invited us in, be nice. Other than that, however, is fair game, within reason. I'm going to frown upon, and have second thoughts about, online friendships when I see them go on tirades over the same thing over and over, doubly so when they need to use rampant profanity. But the diversity all of my online friends bring to my timeline is what makes Facebook worth using. My closest friends and family tend to exhibit some closeted thinking. Everyone is in their own little world, with the same beliefs and ideologies. But amongst this vast world of political correctness, I want to be offended sometimes. I want my beliefs to be challenged. I want to be exposed to different viewpoints. We don't grow as a people unless we are willing to be challenged, to think alternatively, to give the opinions of the 'other side' a fair chance. I'm not saying myself or others will change our minds. But we need to be aware of all positions. But we still need to be nice about it. Bring on all the people I haven't yet met face to face, they're what make social media worth it.

Re: XX Breathtaking Photos of the Elusive Moonbow

It's been 10 years already, but in Iraq I once saw a moonbow that wrapped a full circle around the moon. This isn't some random freshman the first time away from home, but a prominent athlete on the school football team. The coaches need to hold them to a higher standard and discipline appropriately.

Re: The Part Time Economy

The point is that both jobs could and should be full time, but neither wants to incur the added cost of the benefits associated with full time status, notably the rapidly increasing health care costs. Two jobs has become very american and that's fine. But needing to find a third because the government's effect on benefits is preventing employers from hiring full time employees is wrong. It's also one thing when a guy with a family needs to do it to provide for many mouths, but I'm 100% single with zero dependents.

Re: The Part Time Economy

I'm working 2 part time jobs and looking for a third. :(

Re: The Runaway Blog- Mighty Missouri Coffee Company

Exciting times!

Re: Small Town Socialism

...no gas station.

Re: Small Town Socialism

As a New Leipzig native, who often did farm work, a deli like that would have been fantastic, something to grab early in the morning on the way to work. I'm not sure how much competition the deli would have introduced anyway. It's not like Taco Johns vs Taco Bell. It's Burritos and Breakfast vs Sandwiches. If NL is really serious about spinning the grocery store back into private ownership then they need to give the operators every opportunity to make it a business that operates in the black. If that means a deli and a cafe both operating in the same town, then so be it. Besides, if you can only have one, would you not rather have the groceries?

Re: Proposed North Dakota Law Would Brand DUI Offenders With A Scarlet Letter

No, we don't, but if there is a repeated pattern of abusing it over X amount of time, than someone should step in, government or otherwise. Ride with a friend, call a cab, walk, I don't care. I can understand getting 1 DUI, people make mistakes, no need to get too worked up about it, but getting 3 or 4 inside of a year is irresponsible.

Re: Proposed North Dakota Law Would Brand DUI Offenders With A Scarlet Letter

It's a good idea, in theory, but too harsh in existing form. I'd say that at whatever stage of getting DUIs that we're issuing jail time is when some logo is added to your license indicating you can't buy alcohol. If they get busted again then issue a jail sentence. This would put one more stage in the process before jail, which could potentially alleviate some of that expense if it keeps a few more people out.

Re: Asking for contact info impacts first-time church visitors [bonus]

Great thoughts, but if you have 900 people showing up on any given sunday morning, and less than a dozen (mostly elderly) 'greeters' to welcome everyone? It's easy to miss people there for the first time, and it can be insulting to some who have attended for years, but get 'pounced on' by a greeter who thinks they're new. In an ideal world this is a great way to do things, but in the short time people leave their cars and get into the pews, it's unlikely new visitors will get much face time.

Re: Proclaim and AAW Partner to Give You A Chance to Win: A Full Year of Proclaim and Graceway Media!

I'm still trying to persuade numerous people that Media Shout is not the answer!

Re: Introducing Simple

As soon as I saw you're launching I checked my email.
