Personally I think that URL shorners are useful, but only in some cases. There are too many public ones, which is nice, but it can create confusions and , like in this case, uncertainty for uses who have relied heavily on the service.

I see more value in such services when they are build into/ part of a website whose business is not URL shortening. Some examples are the NY Times, Stumble Upon and TechCrunch.

http://thetitan.titanfusion.net/archive/2009/04...

Re: Tips For Freelancing: How To Impress

Good suggestions, but sometimes delivery time also depends on the timely cooperation of the clients. Some of the clients I work with are comprised of 2 to 3 people and some of the projects I have done with them have been delayed just because either one of the people did not read the email and followed the instructions, or they read it and put it off for latter and forgot about it.

Of course, it is also important at what point in the project the above starts to happen. I've had it happen to me in different stages of the projects, including off the get go.

Re: Did I harm my blog by FriendFeeding this year?

I am not a big Friendfeed user, but I used Twitter a lot.
