I've tried many different models of these and actually ordered the Phiaton, but it was so bad I sent it back. I got the latest set of MPow Jaws for a fraction of the cost and they're simply amazing...much better fit, excellent sound and great range compared to the LG Tone sets I've tried.

Re: The Best Wireless Earbuds

It's the only form factor that works well with one earbud in. Its rare that I listen with both ears because I need to also hear my surroundings. The single earbud battery life is only a couple hours and I want something that works all day. Is it large and uncomfortable? I don't really notice it. Does it look ridiculous? Yeah, but it's worth it for the required functionality.

Re: The Best Wireless Earbuds

I just bought the Phiaton based on the recommendation here and am returning them. They were really comfortable and I liked the aesthetic, but the sound was awful, both wired and over Bluetooth. There was even a wonky distortion in the voice that said "power on". I'm going back to my collection of HBS-730s until I can find something better. I was really hoping for a comparison that included several LG models since they seem to be extremely popular.

Re: LG Tone Bluetooth headset comparison

Take off the earpiece. Look inside - if it looks like a flat screen, use a pick to remove that flat screen. Without that screen, there's no protective barrier between the speaker and your ear, but at least you can hear it.

Re: LG Tone Bluetooth headset comparison

I did comment about how they sounded relative to one another. The Infinim definitely sounds the best. While I'm a musician and audiophile, I don't generally listen to music on a Bluetooth headset. When I do, the sound quality of all three is sufficient. Sorry if you didn't find what you're looking for.

Re: Wireless Qi charging with Zerolemon battery on the LG G3

I try not to ever let my battery get too low since it's really hard on it. The few times when it did run completely down, I didn't time the recharge cycle. I'm using a Nexus 6 now until I start farming again, but from what I recall, I was usually down to around 20% when I got home (11 p.m.) and it would be charged back to 100% by the time I left the next morning (6 a.m.). The phone doesn't ever fully understand the huge battery, so when it does run completely down, it'll go down to 3% and then sit there for a long time before finally dying, so 20% is probably more like 35% if the whole cycle discharged evenly from the phone's point of view.

Re: Wireless Qi charging with Zerolemon battery on the LG G3

I don't notice it. After a few weeks of sweating on the fence line, it broke in the same way the old Moto S10 headsets would - the controls simply stopped working. I'm done with Moto because they can't make stuff that lasts in an industrial environment.

Re: LG Tone Bluetooth headset comparison

I didn't really test the mics, unfortunately. They all seem to start to cut out about 30 yards away indoors and 40-50 yards line-of-sight. I have noticed that some of the knock-offs that can be found on eBay will cut out significantly sooner to the point that they're not worth getting.

Re: The LG Watch Urbane is a beautiful smartwatch

I didn't comment on battery life because I didn't really test it. I'm farming now, so I only wore the Urbane when I'd get home and have something non-farm to do in the evenings. My ZenWatch battery lasts most, if not all, of the day and I didn't notice the Urbane battery behaving noticeably differently. If anything, it seemed to last longer than my ZenWatch. Android Wear won't ever last as long as Pebble, obviously, but they all seem to get a day's worth of use.

Re: Podcasting hardware

I only use it with Windows. In that particular instance, the lot remains undefined until the survey is completed so the bidding definitions can be determined. I specifically stated that modern DOs in the US no longer use the ridiculous practices nor accept he absurd beliefs on which the discipline was founded. I'm actually switching to a DO as my primary care doctor soon.

Nowhere did I call science quackery. In fact, it's the lack of science that makes fundamental osteopathy quackery. I've been called a lot of names, and have had fun counting the logical fallacies in these comments, but have yet to be provided with a reputable, peer reviewed scientific study that lends credibility to any value existing in this wing of alternative medicine that doesn't exist in modern medicine.

Re: Farming

I'll take a more in-depth look at farmerfeeds. Dr. Jadick received his degree from an accredited institution in New York (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wi... ) and thus likely saved so many men by using science and not by trying to crack their backs or manipulate their bones. I wasn't familiar with Dr. Jadick until now, but he sounds like a hero to me. Politics doesn't enter into my opinions about science, but thanks for increasing my ad hominem count by one.

Re: QR codes kill kittens

That's one of the few appropriate uses of QR codes I can imagine. A real estate sign would also be a good use. So long as there is text that explains exactly where the QR code leads or what it does, and as long as it goes deep within a site to a specific item rendered in a mobile way, it sounds right to me.

Re: Legalized gambling with penny auctions

I haven't seen a "bid-to-buy option" and am unfamiliar with it. However, it's not an auction if it has a fixed price. I also think that it's not an auction when the purchase isn't based on the total price paid by an individual and, instead, relies on the last action made by a particular person. The only thing I can come up with that is similar to that model is a slot machine.

Re: Uninstall Adobe Flash

Opera.
