I think Levar was 20 years old. I was 9. Not Twitter's (or Craigslist's) problem. All types of people have used classified ads in newspapers to conduct all types of covert or open business. Are the re-publishers to be held responsible if some of those businesses were illegal in any of the municipalities the paper was sold? No. Should either company be compelled to quash fireworks advertisements because they're illegal in some states?

"What if a major act of terrorism is organized using Twitter?"

Frist: we'd never know about it. Second: Somebody is first going to have to give a very clear and precise legal definition of "Terrorism" before any crime can be applied. The current efforts are unconstitutional and un-American. The framers of the constitution who wrote the first and second amendments had no intention of a term "domestic terrorism" to ever be coined and would spit their teeth if they saw "free speech zones" , "warrantless wiretapping" or "enemy combatant". These are the exact tools of tyranny they were rebelling against. Like it or not, our constitution gives us the right to publish, organize and discuss, through peaceful protest or armed revolution, the overthrow of our own government without it's interference. Fearing government control of public discussion and publishing tools is not something this country is about. Even if recent misguided trends are to the contrary. Our 3rd President Thomas Jefferson comes to mind specifically: http://bit.ly/aRalU

Your point about putting all of our eggs in one Twitter basket is spot on. Thankfully there are many other publishing mediums on the internet we can utilize should Twitter begin to rot.

Re: Demolition set on site of new Skokie police station

I'm sorry that the article linked here is no longer online. The last 50 seconds from Cheryl Burton are classic starting at 3:43 "Military officials have expressed concern that Terrorists could use micro-blogging services like Twitter to communicate" Good Grief!! These people also believe motorcycles are not actually allowed on the streets either. I used to come across them regulary.

This past summer I got honked and telled at twice to "get on the sidewalk" while riding down a street that actually had a marked bicycle lane. One of these idots got caught at a light and I got the chance to correct his stupidity on the subject.

Re: Officially Lucky, a blog by Clint Ecker

Ouch, she's breathtaking hawt and has sexy ankles! :-)

Re: Officially Lucky, a blog by Clint Ecker

No, and none is forthcoming.

Re: Officially Lucky, a blog by Clint Ecker

I'm sure there's no sane answer about as to why this gentleman has mixed in with his display of real firearms one paintball CO2 gun and the two video game trigger fake guitars.

Re: 1FPS - In Allison Park, Pa., a student claimed that a...

Let me freakin' guess, this teachers aide is a member of a teachers union too.

Re: Officially Lucky, a blog by Clint Ecker

lol, his Macbook skin rawks!

Re: 2008/11/04/how-to-get-incompatible-videos-to-your-apple-tv/

I think it has something to with where and how that Quicktime components download gets installed.
