I think Wave has 50 people working on it, so I guess it makes sense for the 3 of you to think smaller. I'll probably want some real time functionality in my apps at some point, and Wave looks promising with the combination of robots and gadgets. I would suggest that Etherpad gain at least one of those two to stay interesting.

Wrong x 3:

1. Facebook is the successor to MySpace, not Twitter.
2. Twitter search is largely useless. There is almost no distinct information in the stream, just the same phrases repeated. And as for just asking in a tweet, not everyone has a pool of 20,000 followers to answer questions for them. It's a waste of time to manually answer when Google can actually find what you want from anywhere on the web. It is indexing new content constantly and can show you today's and the past's results.
3. Some people are using Twitter as a primary communication tool, but it is only one among the tons of avenues such as email, IM, and web message boards (including social networks and social news). The stream is filled with so much garbage that you can't have a real discussion without seeing tons of automatically posted updates. Twitter is good to have open in a window and just glance at it occasionally out of boredom, not to be used for actual correspondence.

I always thought Monopoly and Risk had fairly engaging non-linear story lines, so it is feasible to make players run the simulation manually. Just, board games need to have a reasonable, intuitive calculations and some kind of visual representation the game state.

You could try Parallels for running various Windows-only 3D modeling programs on your Mac, but I don't know if performance would be adequate.

You could be more clear about the real-time updates. My understanding is that new stories appear as soon as possible unless the mouse is moving or you are typing a comment, in which case stories are queued to appear when keyboard and mouse activity have stopped.
