That's something I'll have to write down and consider.

One of the real problems is that almost *all* of the people we interviewed were first timers - and none of them really felt (at the time) that their trip was anything really deep or effecting.

Which is pretty normal during your ride. But we really needed voices that understood how things began to sink in back home. So that was always an issue :P

Re: Pedal (Blog): *this* meets *this*

Hey Hedge - thanks for the awesome comment. Yes, definitely, when I said interviews I just meant the things Amanda and I filmed during 64 Days - we're still hoping to collect many more Stockpile clips. We have a few ideas we like for integrating those into the film :)

Re: Pedal (Blog): Expedition To Endure

I think I should introduce you like that every time from now on ;P

Re: Pedal (Blog): Expedition To Endure

Ah, crap, no it wasn't - I fixed it. What you wrote is very, very inspiring and motivating for us. Seriously... I don't know how I can stress that enough.

The idea that our project could actually help someone else in a stressful or challenging situation always seemed to be Amanda and I's ultimate goal for the film - so to hear this before the finished film is even out is very... it's just really wonderful.

Thanks for everything - for saying hello, for spreading the word, and for the recent pledge on Kickstarter!

Re: Pedal (Blog): Digg*athon!

Awesome :) Thanks Larry! I know - it's going to be fun. Though I hope you don't get sick of me fast, I do a long and growing list of shots I'll need to piece together the film. But I'm trying to make them fun - and hmm... you just gave me an idea about the dog tags.

Re: Pedal (Blog): Digg*athon!

Hey Hedge - awesome, thanks for pointing Daniel out. And it's about understanding that journey and how long that whole process can take.

Reaching the east coast isn't the end to someone's journey, especially not Larry's, but there *is* an expectation for it to be the "end".

When you're riding along, it's your goal, it's what you're trying to get to. And when you reach it, you go through a lot of emotions very quickly... and then they're gone. It's somewhat anti-climatic. It can take months to begin to realize that you're no where near finished with your experience.

But that's a different part of For Thousands of Miles ;)

Thanks for the awesome comment.

Re: Pedal (Blog): Digg*athon?

Hey Romain :) No, no - it's great to get some feedback on what specifically people think we should try to digg to get people into the project. I'm glad someone mentioned a specific video.

Would you say 64 Days over the new KSR intro video we put together a two weeks ago?
