I think on some level Kevin blames himself, because it was what he saw that led to Carl's abuse being exposed. But he can't deal with it and doesn't understand it (and feels a lot of shame) so he externalise that onto Cliff. :(

This is the horrible power of child abuse, the ability to make someone truly believe the excuses adults make to manipulate in order to justify the abuse. This is why people get CPTSD. I hope Cliff manages to get all the support he needs. Friends like Oscar is one thing but this shit requires a long road of therapy <3

As someone who works very closely over long periods of time with patients who are dying... some closeness is needed for it to be meaningful and helpful for your patient, as long as you're not totally subsumed by things to the point where your personal boundaries dissolve. Part of the meaningful nature of the work involves feeling the sadness, in a healthy way. Not being too close nor too far. It's very much accompanying a soul on the way to the afterlife or lack thereof.

So I'm guessing that Eliza is in that secure attachment zone, of being a professional dealing-with-the-things-including-being-a-psychopomp-at-times

But how is this actually cute? Anaado has been recklessly emotionally and physically abusive - and in particular he could have started by saying 'dude i will die if i leave this body' and we wouldn't be stuck in hell with Spooky stuck in an ineffective body... tbh 'romantic' vulnerable moments do happen even in really messed up relationships. From time to time. that's what makes them so seductive, just as they're incredibly bad for you. :(
