Google+ is sure a good service but there is no reason to use it. You can manage only one network at a time. I am busy on Facebook. There was a time i was busy on Twitter.

I strongly believe that there are many groups with influential people who share each others' stuff or link them. And there no ordinary person can enter. After that it comes to community work. I have seen many communities where people share each others' articles and videos.
I have seen lots and lots of quality less stuff go viral. Many scrapped and modified contents go viral.
